Top Tips For A Budget Wedding

in Fashion on 23/12/19

Weddings are that one event that always seems to get away from us in terms of budgets. Whether it’s spending more on alcohol, food, venue, decor or the dress, it can rack up quickly when you start thinking about the costs associated with tying the knot. Going into debt just to proclaim your love to someone isn’t an ideal way to start a marriage, which is why we’ve put together this handy dandy guide to keeping your wedding budget friendly so you don’t have to stress about going too overboard.

Buy Online

Buying things online is a great way to keep costs associated with weddings lower. In shops it seems that the moment you mention the word ‘wedding’, the prices skyrocket. This is why online shopping will help you keep your budget under control, you can find most items from stores that carry products in bulk, helping to keep prices low. Buying bridesmaid dresses online can also help you keep your budget from running out of control. With red bridesmaid dresses or burgundy bridesmaid dresses to choose from amongst dozens of other colours in a myriad of styles, it’s easy to see why so many people opt for buying their dresses online these days. Not only that, but if you compare the prices in a shop versus online, the difference is clear and online will win out almost every single time for those who are budget conscious.

Keep It Small And Simple

Small and simple weddings are usually the cheapest. By cheap we don’t mean plastic or fake flowers and table decor you got from the dollar store (although you could do that if you wanted to). We mean that by keeping your wedding small and simple you’ll save time and money because you will have fewer things to have to pay for in terms of food, alcohol, invitations and the like. Not only that but a smaller venue will also be cheaper than a grand hall of some kind. In all, the smaller the wedding, the cheaper it will be on your pocketbook, but don’t fret about having a classy affair. In fact, smaller weddings can be just as beautiful and meaningful (if not more so) than huge parties with hundreds of people.

Make A Budget

When it comes to weddings, making and sticking to a budget is key. Think up everything you will need to pay for in advance and how much each thing will cost. Then you can work out how much you need for the essentials like a venue, officiant or church, food, alcohol, DJ if you want one and the like. This will help you break down all the costs associated with getting married into smaller chunks that are more manageable. Also budgets will help you understand where your limit is so you don’t go over it and put yourself through financial issues just to pay for your wedding day – not an ideal start to a marriage!

There you have some great tips for helping you keep your wedding budget friendly while still making it the day of your dreams. Hopefully these ideas will help you come up with a budget everyone can agree on while still having the wedding you’ve always wanted.
